First Graders Taken To Gay Wedding

Thanks to Michelle Malkin for picking up on this.  As if we need to further prove the fact that liberals have no shame: First graders go on a class trip to see their gay teacher’s wedding.

SAN FRANCISCO, October 11 – In the same week that the No on 8 campaign launched an ad that labeled as “lies” claims that same-sex marriage would be taught in schools to young children, a first grade class took a school-sponsored trip to a gay wedding. Eighteen first graders traveled to San Francisco City Hall Friday for the wedding of their teacher and her lesbian partner, The San Francisco Chronicle reported. The school sponsored the trip for the students, ages 5 and 6, taking them away from their studies for the same-sex wedding. According to the Yes on 8 campaign, the public school field trip demonstrates that the California Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage has real consequences.

“Taking children out of school for a same-sex wedding is not customary education. This is promoting same-sex marriage and indoctrinating young kids,” said Yes on 8-ProtectMarriage.com Campaign Co-Manager Frank Schubert. “I doubt the school has ever taken kids on a field trip to a traditional wedding,” Schubert said.

The school’s principal approved of the trip, saying it was “a teachable moment.”

A teachable moment?  Since when is witnessing a gay wedding part of a 1st grade curriculum?  And they wonder why opposition to Prop. 8 is wilting

Tell these extremist headcases to stop shoving their way of life down the throats of mainstream America.   Support Prop. 8

I don’t see the problem here. If you check the original article, the parents were informed and those who wanted to opt their children out could do so. Two did, and their children spent the time with another first grade class instead.

It seems to me that a certain amount of imagination and disregard for the facts is required to find anything ugly about this beautiful idea.

Proposition 8 is more than same sex marriage its about protecting our sons and daughters from growing up in a world that teaches that being gay or lesbian is just as normal as being straight. I don’t want my sons and daughters being taught as young as five years old in school that it is okay to marry someone of their same sex. It is about the principle of religion. And protecting what God has set up as the correct way to replenish the earth. It is marriage between a Man and a Woman. God set Adam and Eve on earth to have their posterity fill the whole earth. It goes contrary to the laws set up by God himself. I have nothing against gay or lesbian individuals. I believe they can live their life how they please. I am against the teachings that go against the teachings of God. And we must fight to protect God’s holy ordinance of Marriage between one man and one woman.

I also discovered later that this was the idea of one of the parents. This is just another fuss over nothing from religious nuts who want to continue to discriminate against homosexuals. They are not permitted to do so, and there is nothing in Proposition 8 that will enable them to do so.

I wonder what the response would of been if the kids were pulled out of school to attend a military funeral, go to a Catholic church or Jewish ceremony?

The people voted down same sex marriages. The liberal judges should be removed from the bench. Citizens do not want it and they don’t want their kids being indoctrinated with this garbage.
