Russell Closing In On Murtha
MIchelle Malkin says Bill Russell is leading John Murtha in a new poll.
The race has been tightening in the past week since Murtha smeared his own constituents in the past week, calling them “racist” and “rednecks”.
This is a great development. John Murtha is a disgrace to the US Congress and epitomizes the hate-filled, ignorant leftist ideology that, unfortunately, prevails in the Democrat party today. And we would like nothing more than to see a true patriot and conservative like Lt. Col. William Russell take his congressional seat.
Pennsylvania is still a battleground state, and Murtha might have weakened the Obama campaign there. As we’ve noted before, Governor Rendell is nervous about Obama’s prospects in Pennsylvania and McCain has been campaigning hard there.
