Murtha Seeks Immunity
The hubris runs deep in the Democrat party.
As if we needed more proof that liberals have no shame. Spendthrift congressman and coward John Murtha is seeking immunity in a lawsuit brought on by one of the marines that Mr. Murtha accused of murdering civilians in Iraq. Interesting excerpt from the news report:
A government attorney representing Murtha told the judges that the lawmaker has immunity from the lawsuit because he was acting in his official role as a lawmaker when he made the comments to reporters.
So, elected officials can say anything they want, especially with regards to the conduct of the US military personnel in a combat zone?
With power, comes responsibility. Or so we thought. No responsibility from Democrats. Just cut and run. What a coward.
